A(R)R - Accelerated (Romans) Reader
Over the 10 weeks of this summer,
we will be focusing on the book of Romans.
What better way to do that than by having a little friendly Accelerated (Romans) Reader competition?
to see how to score your points.
PRAYER REQUEST FOR OUR NEW SUMMER MINISTRIES
Please keep our church in your prayers this summer as we launch two initiatives: the Accelerated (Romans) Reader {the ARR} and the Your Neighborhood Church {YNC} outreach along with VBS and all the other regular programs of the church.
A(R)R is designed to help deepen our relationships with God and with one another as we study the book of Romans together over the summer, with sermons that reinforce our weekly small group times and opportunities for personal growth, all wrapped in a fun competition between the four services (including the Hispanic, contemporary and traditional services) as well as the staff.
YNC is designed to help us deepen our relationships with God and our neighborhoods as we reach out to two groups: those in the neighborhood right around the church and those in our own neighborhoods. Of course those who live very close to the church will be doing double duty!
A suggested prayer is: "God, guide the work of First UMC. Help us to do your will and strengthen your Kingdom, that we might be your disciples in all that we think, believe and do. Specifically Lord, bless our new facets of ministry: the Accelerated Romans Reader and the Your Neighborhood Church outreach. Amen"
